VR_I is a contemporary dance piece in immersive virtual reality : five spectators equipped with virtual reality headsets move freely inside a large virtual space for a contemplative journey that questions our perception of reality.
Blending art with technology, VR_I results from the encounter between Swiss choreographer Gilles Jobin and the founders of Artanim, Caecilia Charbonnier and Sylvain Chagué.
“(…) VR-I effectively explores the way a true multiplayer interaction within and immersive and interactive setting might work.” (moviecitynews.com)
“(…) the participants share the physical space and the interactions they have in the concrete place are mirrored in the virtual environment.” (indiewire.com)
“The best part? When you take off the headset, you feel as if the strangers are now old friends.” (pixvana.com)
