Many industry events are now canceled (see here), and the XR industry is working on online solutions to host conferences or showcases. In Belgium Stereopsia just announced a “social XR” event. Read below.
In these stressful times of extended confinment, we can help our families, friends, neighbors, and everyone else cope with the limited space they live in and make them feel better by taking them to a social space where they will be able to meet other people, watch movies, explore art galleries, or dance together 💻
VRrOOm and Stereopsia join forces to offer an alternative solution to social distancing and help our fellow Earthlings 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 💪
𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝟯𝟬 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 simultaneously on the VRrOOm’s cultural hub @VRChat and on the VRrOOm XR Festivals app, we will offer our audience a program including one VR film and one 3D movie per day for the duration of the lockdown, enjoyable in 6DoF social XR via PC and PCVR (including Quest + Link) and/or in 3DoF on mobile VR and all types of headsets (excluding Quest) 😎
We’d like to ask for your kind contribution to make this project happen: please 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 ‘𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗗𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘀’ 𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 and give people all around the world the mental escape they crave for, by allowing us to broadcast one of your creations for one day only. We will promote your work, of course, on our news platform VRrOOm 👈From Stereopsia
