This edition of VR Cinema brings together four animated works—Ferenj, Less Than 5 Grams of Saffron, Flow, and The Art of Change—that explore memory’s capacity to shape spaces that are both personal and collective. Emphasizing lived narratives, testimonies, memory objects, and relational artifacts, these projects intertwine intimate storytelling with shared experience, each examining how sensory experience reactivates the past and reconfigures it in the present. Through animation and virtual reality, ephemeral, lost, or long-silenced experiences materialize once more, opening a space for care and repair. By rendering fleeting memories tangible, these four works invite viewers to inhabit absence.
