Back to the Experience

A story centers on a protagonist who has been deeply influenced by popular culture such as comics, films and games since childhood. It depicts how the character encounters diverse virtual worlds, embarks on adventures, and engages in selfexpression, social interaction and artistic creation within these worlds. Gradually, the protagonist inhabits a blended world where virtuality and reality coexist. In the end, the protagonist’s true identity is revealed: rather than a single specific individual, the character represents dozens of creators from the VR community. MAIN CREATOR’S STATEMENT I have long recognized VR as a highly integrative new medium. Its extraordinary capacity for diverse artistic forms goes well beyond individual creative capacity. Therefore, I seek to establish an innovative collaborative creation model, assembling creators with diverse professional backgrounds to jointly explore the unlimited possibilities of immersive VR experiences.
Starting in 2023, I began integrating curation with narrative to develop unique VR experiences that combine the traits of art exhibitions and documentary films. After completing a solo exhibition and a fourartist group exhibition, I launched Back To The Experience, a collaborative project involving dozens of VR creators.
From an exhibition perspective, this project presents dozens of diverse content forms to audiences in less than an hour, striving to fully demonstrate the unique charm inherent to VR. From a narrative perspective, the virtual protagonist, representing all participating creators, guides the audience through a complete and coherent storyline, letting them experience the shared memories, collective resonance, and persistent creative passion within the global VR community.
