GAUDI CODE – THE UNTOLD EXPERIENCE @ Espai Imagina

What if immersive technologies could give access not only to cultural heritage as we know it, but also to what was imagined and never built? Opening in Barcelona on September 22, CODI GAUDÍ: THE UNTOLD EXPERIENCE takes this idea as its starting point, using projection, interactive installations, mixed reality and virtual reality to explore the creative system behind Antoni Gaudí’s architecture — including projects that never made it beyond plans and drawings.

Produced by Mediapro Xperiences for the new Espai Imagina and curated by Galdric Santana, director of the Gaudí Chair at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), the exhibition draws on years of academic research into the architect’s original plans, models and working methods. Rather than simply digitising Gaudí’s existing heritage, the project attempts to reconstruct his creative logic: geometry, engineering, symbolism and his observation of nature become material for interaction and spatial storytelling.
