In this virtual reality experience, visitors walk barefoot on a thin film of water. From their first steps into the experience, the audience is invited to interact with an enormous virtual drop of water.
As a musical piece, it is composed in four movements : “The Crowd, The Birds, The Colossus and the Epilogue”. Throughout their exploration, the audience’s interactions will progressively saturate the worlds that they successively discover. They generate at the beginning characters that turn away, then greedy birds that poison themselves and finally multiply transport ships. Each movement, or chapter, is punctuated by an interlude of rain recalling both the birth of life on earth and the imminent and destructive rise of the waters. Characters sink underwater. Other interactions bring them to the surface.
The Epilogue will then be the stage of a unique meeting : invested with the tone of voice of the present visitors and their initial answers, they encounter a figure, progressively mutating into a virtual otherness, another like them. A time of dialogue is established to glimpse another possible world.
