Microbiome Restaurant

Microbiome Restaurant approaches the human body as a holobiont, an ecosystem hosting trillions of microorganisms that influence physical state, emotions and decisions. Speculative but scientifically grounded, the project questions Western ideas of autonomy and reason through two formats: Haute Cuisine for the Rectum, a live gastronomic performance for three diners served oral and rectal courses, and Plural Tastings, a six-user VR experience in which participants lie in a human-sized petri dish and become both diners and the meal.
