Location-based XR may be reaching a new stage in its development. Experiences are circulating internationally, dedicated venues are multiplying, production tools are becoming more accessible and several platforms now provide the technological infrastructure needed to operate collective VR at scale. But this growth has also exposed one of the sector’s structural weaknesses: much of its content remains tied to the platform for which it was originally developed.
